Chennai, June 5, 2025 — To accommodate the anticipated surge in passenger traffic during the upcoming festival weekend, Southern Railway has announced special trains between Podanur and Dr. MGR Chennai Central. These services are aimed at providing additional travel convenience for festival-goers.
Special Train Details
Train No. 06028 Podanur – Dr. MGR Chennai Central Special will depart Podanur at 23:30 hrs on Sunday, 8th June 2025, and arrive at Dr. MGR Chennai Central at 08:40 hrs the next morning, 9th June 2025.
The return service, Train No. 06027 Dr. MGR Chennai Central – Podanur Special, will leave Chennai Central at 10:15 hrs on Monday, 9th June 2025, and reach Podanur at 18:00 hrs on the same day.
Coach Composition
- 1 AC Two Tier Coach
- 2 AC Three Tier Coaches
- 16 Sleeper Class Coaches
- 2 General Second Class Coaches
- 2 Second Class Coaches for differently-abled passengers (Divyangjan Friendly)
